Who Should Use an End of Life Doula?

Everyone is facing death. End-of-life doulas work with those with serious illnesses who are facing death, those who are aging naturally living with increasingly limited physical and cognitive capacity as they get nearer to death —and also for those who are healthy and just want to prepare for death.

Sue has an incredible gift. Full stop. I believe she is here on this planet to do this work - I have never met anyone who can hold this tender, scary, vulnerable and emotional space with the compassion and strength that she has. After moving through the shock and fear from a breast cancer diagnosis, I decided to work with Sue on creating an end of life plan. Sue led me to deeper clarity and what to revisit now in my life to create a future sense of peace. The result? Less fear. Less anxiety. Comfort in knowing that I sat with the unavoidable truth that I will die someday and have a plan that will honor and support me and those I love.”

My Services

My services provide thoughtful conversation, information, and guidance in a safe and sacred space, so clients can feel empowered, at peace, and cared for as they are nearing and during the death experience. I will facilitate conversations about end of life vigil wishes and family care plans and can coordinate support with medical and hospice care providers. My services are available both in-person and virtually.

Sacred Passage End of Life Care Coaching and Planning

Using the Sacred Passage Doula “Best Three Months: End of Life Plan and Vigil” Curriculum, we will collaborate to create an End of Life Plan to ensure your death experience is what you desire. We will create a meaningful and intentional roadmap for your death experience.

Sacred Passage Vigil Attendance

I will support you and your family by attending to the bedside during the last days of life. During this time, I fulfill end of life wishes and provide comfort, care, and compassion at the bedside. I also attend to your family’s care needs and coordinate with hospice care providers.

Personalized Support and Care

We will create a personalized support plan that can evolve with you as you age. This includes support service options available to you in and outside of your local community, facilitation with family, referrals for emotional and psychological support, specific end of life resources, grief and healing rituals, and more.

Private, Group, and Community Work

I organize and facilitate private, group, and community workshops and presentations for those that are interested in exploring mortality and impermanence. Together we can create plans that empower you as you enter the next phase of your life.
